Manuscript Types

JPPDAS accepts scientific manuscripts that align with the journal’s focus and scope. Manuscripts must make a clear contribution to the advancement of science, be systematically organized, and comply with publication ethics. The types of manuscripts accepted include:

1. Original Research Article
An article that presents original research findings using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. The manuscript must describe the research problem, objectives, verifiable methods, results, and the research’s contribution.
The main structure includes an introduction, methods, results and discussion, and conclusions. Research on system development or prototyping must include an evaluation that supports claims regarding performance and benefits.

2. Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
An article that reviews scientific evidence through systematic, transparent, and replicable procedures. The manuscript must describe the research question, search sources, search strategy, eligibility criteria, selection process, appropriate quality assessment or risk of bias assessment, and synthesis methods.
Meta-analyses must describe the methods used to statistically combine results and address heterogeneity. Systematic reviews are not required to include a meta-analysis if statistical pooling is not appropriate given the characteristics of the data.
